A very painfull picture that I caught on the montain's villages of north Thailand.
The people that live in these villages are very poor. We were driving with our jeeps in the roads of the village, and before we got there, we baught some candies to give the childrens in the village. Every child that saw us was so happy and took the candy right away. Every father or a mother that saw us called his child to come quickly and take the candy. But when I saw this old woman with this baby, she, like all the parents, immediately held the baby infront of us, so we'll give him his candy. But as the baby looks like, is he really on the first priority...? Or they don't have a choice? FEATURED: BY  IN [link] Comments
  the boy looks well fed and healthy. These people in the villages might be poor and live a hard life with few possessions, but family is everything to them.
I think the woman is probably proud that you would come to Thailand and want to give them something. I guess he's at a certain age and with the heat the grandmother doesn't use nappies, but I agree seeing you there you would think they'd cover him up.
I know I wouldn't want people taking pictures of my children like this.  an amazing shot...
....I wish I could travel to help and aid people just like this.. diapers, even cloth, would have made a wonderful gift Im sure..
